The Arizona Cardinals don’t have the luxury of going up against the 49ers each and every week, and the Seattle Seahawks sure made life difficult for veteran running back Adrian Peterson.

A week after posting huge numbers versus San Francisco, Peterson was only able to muster 29 yards on 21 carries against Seattle’s defense, forcing the Cardinals offense to rely on the arm of fill-in quarterback Drew Stanton.

Stanton was 24-of-47 for 273 yards and a touchdown on Thursday Night Football, but the end result was certainly predictable.

At least wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald had a nice game, and the Cardinals defensive front seven remains a force. But these kinds of losses are going to be indicative of what Arizona has to offer down the stretch.

No change in NFL power rankings this week.
