Finding the wins on 49ers’ remaining 2017 schedule

Week 15 vs. Tennessee Titans
Opponent’s Record: 5-3
The Tennessee Titans got off to a bit of a sluggish and inconsistent start to 2017, going 2-3 over their first five games before pulling off three-straight victories over the Colts, Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens.
Tennessee is now back in the thick of things in the AFC South. And as long as quarterback Marcus Mariota continues to play well, the Titans should be in good shape.
Ironically, Mariota and the passing game has been one of the primary weaknesses for the Titans this season. Through nine weeks, the Titans rank 27th in passing yards (1,599), which is more of a testament to the lack of impact high-profile receiving weapons like Eric Decker and the rookie, Corey Davis, have had.
This is a boost to San Francisco’s secondary, which has gone through its own share of woes this season, including sending off its former No. 1 corner, Rashard Robinson, via a trade to the New York Jets.
But runners DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry have still churned out yards on the ground — averaging 4.1 and 4.3 yards per carry, respectively — which doesn’t bode well for San Francisco’s defense.
Stopping the run is key here. Let’s assume the Niners have a fully healthy defensive tackle tandem of Solomon Thomas and Tank Carradine back in the mix for this one, and both help stop the run in big ways.
Prediction: 49ers 19, Titans 16
