NFL power rankings: Plenty of blowouts and losers in Week 10
By Peter Panacy
It’s weird to see the Seahawks lose at home, especially when their defense does a good job shutting down a dangerous passing attack.
But that tells a tale about Seattle’s offense this season, which largely struggled to gain any sort of momentum throughout the contest, especially early on.
Despite upgrading their woeful offensive line before the trade deadline, the Seahawks were still trailing 10-2 heading into the fourth quarter. Yes, there were some moments where it looked like quarterback Russell Wilson was going to engineer another miraculous late comeback. But it fell short, as his last-second pass to tight end Jimmy Graham fell incomplete in the end zone.
Oh, and poor Blair Walsh. Three missed field goals is brutal.
The Seahawks have a notable offensive-identity crisis right now, which could haunt them when it comes to battling the Rams for NFC West division dominance this season.
