52. . W, 23-7 vs. Bengals. Previous: . Jacksonville Jaguars. 18. team

The Jacksonville Jaguars may have been without running back Leonard Fournette, who was suspended for violating a team rule last Sunday. But that didn’t matter, as the Jaguars defense absolutely clamped down on the Bengals at home in Week 9.

Jacksonville’s defense will be what keeps the team in contention this season, and it’s also why the Jags have seen their stock rise in our NFL power rankings.

Quarterback Blake Bortles didn’t have to put the game on his shoulders, and the Jags didn’t have to worry about not having a great running game during the contest.

This was the defense’s show, holding Cincinnati to just 148 yards.
