No. 4: Offensive Lineman Darrell Williams Jr.

The 49ers already have a player on the offensive line they should give more time to, Erik Magnuson. But considering how thin the depth is right now, promoting rookie offensive lineman Darrell Williams Jr. from the practice squad would be smart.

Williams had some impressive moments during the preseason, justifying the Niners keeping him around on the practice squad after formulating their 53-man roster.

At 6-foot-6 and 310 pounds, Williams projects like an outside tackle, which would give the team some reinforcements with Garry Gilliam (knee) no longer in the picture.

A few snaps here and there might be beneficial to Williams’ development.
