26. team. 30. . 3-4. . New York Jets

I’m going to give the New York Jets a nice little bump in our NFL power rankings this week despite blowing a 14-point lead to the Miami Dolphins and eventually losing 31-28.

You see, the Jets are a feisty bunch this year. And one can only think what New York’s fortunes would be like if it had a complete roster on both sides of the ball.

Quarterback Josh McCown had himself a day, going 17-of-27 for 209 yards with three touchdowns against an interception, resulting in a 108.4 passer rating. And it was nice to see him spreading the wealth, with all of his touchdowns going to three different receivers.

Two critical turnovers likely forced the end result, though, reminding us why the Jets still aren’t quite anywhere near the middle of the NFL pack this season.
