Sit-em: Jack Doyle (IND) vs. Jacksonville

The only reason I was hesitant to call Denver’s defense the best in the NFL earlier was because Jacksonville is suddenly a defensive force. This week Jacoby Brissett and the Indianapolis Colts try to move the ball against this tough defense. Jack Doyle and the other Colts pass catchers are in for a long game in Week 7.

Doyle came into the season with a ton of hype and promise for fantasy football owners. Unfortunately, he has not performed up to those expectations. Partially due to the injury to starting quarterback Andrew Luck, but that doesn’t change his current lack of production.

Brissett has filled in admirably for the Colts, and other receivers like T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief have adjusted somewhat, but not Doyle. He is becoming the forgotten man on this offense.

Against this defense, even if Andrew Luck was playing, Doyle wouldn’t be a fantasy football starter in Week 7. There are far better streaming options on a weekly basis than Doyle. If he is still on your roster, it is safe to drop him. Streaming a tight end has become a viable strategy with all of the tight end injury questions this season.

Other options: Hunter Henry (LAC) vs. Denver and Jimmy Graham (SEA) @ new York Giants
