team. 47. . 4-2. . New England Patriots. 5

Yes, the Patriots fall a spot in our NFL power rankings this week despite pulling off a win over their AFC East division rivals, the Jets.

Why? Well, some might argue the Pats benefited from a bad call against New York late in the game.

Perhaps, but there are plenty of other reasons as well.

New England was outgained by New York 408 yards to 375 — not exactly a surprise, considering the Pats defense has been pretty bad this season. Usually when that happens, though, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady picks up the slack.

Sure, to a point, but his 52.6 percent completion percentage was a bit of a surprise.

Regardless, the Patriots win what should have been an easy victory. It wasn’t, but New England still climbs to 4-2, dropping a spot in our rankings in the process.
