NFL power rankings: Packers tumble in Week 7 after Aaron Rodgers injury
By Peter Panacy
It took the Titans over two quarters against the lowly Colts to figure out how to muster an effective offense on Monday Night Football.
A win is a win, and Tennessee will take it — especially considering how weird the AFC South is right now — but it’s looking more and more like the Titans are merely an OK team and not the upstart sleeper many thought they’d be in 2017.
Head coach Mike Mularkey’s offense had to rely on field goals the first three quarters of the game, finally coming to life in the fourth, thanks to a touchdown run from DeMarco Murray and a home-run touchdown pass from quarterback Marcus Mariota to wide receiver Taywan on back-to-back possessions.
It was nice to see wideouts Eric Decker and Rishard Matthews make contributions, but it’s hard to move the Titans up any further on this list.
Unless you like seeing fellow tailback Derrick Henry pad his stats at the end of the game.
