NFL power rankings: Chiefs stay hot in Week 6, 49ers stay low

Congratulations, Chargers. You’re no longer among the NFL’s winless.

Yes, Los Angeles moves up a spot in our NFL power rankings this week. That’s typically what happens when you have a bad team going on the road and beating another bad team like the Giants.

But it wasn’t exactly pretty.

Quarterback Philip Rivers did manage to toss three touchdowns against zero interceptions but also completed less than 50 percent of his passes. He missed some wide-open targets deep, further highlighting one of the many issues L.A. has had over the course of the season.

At least the Chargers defense took advantage of a weak Giants offensive line, registering five sacks in the process.
