NFL power rankings: Chiefs stay hot in Week 6, 49ers stay low
By Peter Panacy
The Colts might be just one game below the .500 mark, but wins over the 49ers and Browns don’t exactly provide a lot of style points.
There were times, however, fill-in quarterback Jacoby Brissett looked like a polished signal-caller. His efforts, combined with those from wide receiver T.Y. Hilton and running back Marlon Mack, ensured the Colts would drive the length of the field enough in overtime to seal their home win in Week 5.
Indianapolis was effective on third downs too, going 8-of-16, although that might say more about the 49ers’ ineffectiveness on defense rather than the Colts’ ability to move the ball.
Regardless, the Colts offensive line is still problematic — Brissett was sacked four times and took 12 quarterback hits.
And considering where the Niners are, and the fact this was a home game, Indy shouldn’t have even been in a position to lose late.
But a win is a win, right?
