The Titans clearly miss quarterback Marcus Mariota (hamstring), who was absent during Tennessee’s lackluster and boring 16-10 loss to the Dolphins in Week 5.

Mariota’s presence likely would have given the Titans the edge over a scuffling Dolphins team. And his backup, Matt Cassel, wasn’t particularly effective.

The good news, though, is head coach Mike Mularkey seems pretty optimistic about Mariota’s chances of playing in Week 6 against the lowly Colts on Monday Night Football.

That’s good. Tennessee needs its quarterback on the field.
