The Jets move up a spot in our power rankings this week after knocking off the Browns — a seemingly easy task.

But the reason they’re slated ahead of the Bills right now is because they’re getting better quarterbacking play from the veteran, Josh McCown.

Returning to Cleveland for the first time since signing with New York last offseason, McCown managed to go 23-of-30 for 194 yards and two touchdowns against an interception. While no Jets receiver managed more than 40 yards, it was nice to see McCown effectively distributing the ball as needed.

All this without an effective running game either.

The Jets have certainly turned some heads this season, and perhaps head coach Todd Bowles isn’t on the hot seat as much as initially thought.
