  • Like I said, running back is a tricky position this season, so it’s difficult to sit anyone getting guaranteed touches. However, Jordan Howard is a player that is very hard to trust going into Week 5.

Howard has had some unexpected competition to start the season in Chicago. Running back Tahrik Cohen has proven to the Bears he can handle a good workload and be successful. Howard is their runner between the tackles, but Cohen is much more explosive.

Howard is no longer going to get the receiving work we once expected going into the season. That lowers his fantasy football potential a lot for the rest of 2017.

The Minnesota Vikings defense is still one of the top ones in the league against both the run and the pass. With rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky getting his first start, the Vikings are going to load up to stop Chicago’s running game.

Howard went for a huge game against the Steelers, but other than that, this season hasn’t been great. That tough season continues in Week 5 and beyond. Unless he is matched up against a bottom-level defense, Howard does not have my confidence going forward.
