Kendall Wright (CHI)

I’m really trying to drive the Kendall Wright point home this week. He was on this list last week and underperformed, somewhat, with just three catches for 34 yards. To most, that is not a great game. But for a player who is most likely the last player on your bench, 6.4 fantasy points isn’t terrible.

Yet for some reason Kendall Wright’s owned percentage on ESPN dropped from 13.5 last week to 8.1 this week. Wright’s average game would be a drop-able offence if not for the other circumstances involved.

Coming out of Week 1, the Chicago Bears learned wide receiver Kevin White is going to miss another season due to injury. Who is going to catch the ball in Chicago if not Wright? Josh Bellamy and Deonte Thompson are the only two receivers vying for targets right now in Chicago.

I said it last week, and I’ll say it again, add Kendall Wright. Now more that ever. He is a proven wide receiver in the NFL. Now he is on a team that has literally no one else to throw the ball to.

The Bears aren’t going to be good on offense, but someone will catch passes. Kendall Wright is going to look like a steal after Week 2.
