Philadelphia Eagles

Will wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith actually help quarterback Carson Wentz?

Like the Raiders, the Philadelphia Eagles have questions within their secondary, namely cornerback.

But a bigger issue is on offense.

The Eagles made strides to give second-year quarterback Carson Wentz more weapons this season, signing free agents Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith to bolster the passing offense.

But Jeffery hasn’t been the same, since his breakout 2014 season, which probably explains why he received only a one-year deal. And Smith is coming off back-to-back career-low years with the 49ers.

Getting just one of these wideouts to produce will be huge. But if neither does, it’s back to the proverbial “drawing board” for Philadelphia.
