Can quarterback Carson Palmer stay healthy?

At 37 years old, it’s safe to say veteran quarterback Carson Palmer is hitting the twilight of his career.

Palmer is at the pinnacle of the Cardinals’ hopes to get back into the postseason in 2017. And anyone who watched Arizona’s quarterbacking disaster back in 2014 can attest to Palmer’s importance in head coach Bruce Arians’ squad.

The Cardinals allowed Palmer to get sacked 40 times last season — ninth most in the NFL.

That’s a lot of wear and tear for an older QB, and the added year is only going to put more pressure on the Cardinals offensive line to ensure he’s protected.

Unless, of course, you have faith in backups Blaine Gabbert and Drew Stanton.
