NFL power rankings: League-wide look for each team as preseason starts
By Peter Panacy

Dallas Cowboys. 4. team. 123. . .
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is now a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and there are plenty of reasons to be excited down in Arlington.
Yet the Cowboys could see a slight bit of regression heading into year two of quarterback Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott’s NFL careers. Not saying either player will be bad, rather the rest of the league will look to exploit their weaknesses a bit more.
Dallas’ offensive line isn’t quite what it was a year ago, but it remains a solid force. That helps, but there could be some offensive letup.
This could spell some issues for the Cowboys defense too. With the offense possibly experiencing a slight drawback, the defense is going to be exposed a bit more.
Remember, the Cowboys lost a number of starters to free agency this offseason. And it seems as if a number of other players can’t avoid the suspension bug.
Still, Dallas remains a playoff favorite.
