Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill might have dodged a major bullet with his injured knee, but this still puts the Dolphins season into serious jeopardy.

The Dolphins take a major step back in our NFL power rankings ahead of the preseason for this reason and the fact Miami elected to sign free-agent quarterback Jay Cutler to replace Tannehill under center for the foreseeable future.

Cutler is reunited with head coach Adam Gase, so that could mean good things. The key word being could.

Maybe Jay Ajayi picks up where he left off last season, and maybe Miami’s defense finally lives up to its abilities.
