team. 15. . . . New Orleans Saints. 23

The New Orleans Saints figure to be replicating the same formula they had last season — a potent offense with a very questionable defense.

Quarterback Drew Brees is as competitive as they come, and that’s a good thing. And it will be interesting to see how much running back Adrian Peterson has left in the tank. Perhaps the Saints will start to feature rookie tailback Alvin Kamara a bit more as the season rolls on.

The Saints made the right moves by adding defensive backs Marshon Lattimore and Marcus Williams in Rounds 1 and 2 of the NFL Draft, respectively.

That should help quite a bit, but these moves aren’t enough to turn New Orleans’ defense from a bottom-dweller into a respectable unit.

Playing in the tough NFC South doesn’t help matters either.
