NFL power rankings-wise, the Denver Broncos would be much higher on this list. But not because of their quarterback.

In an ideal world, the Broncos would turn the reins over to 2016 first-round draft pick, Paxton Lynch, to start the season. He’s the long-term investment, but Denver apparently feels more comfortable rolling with last year’s starter, Trevor Siemian, instead.

Siemian had his moments early in the year in 2016. But once the rest of the league started to watch some tape and figure him out, the NFL saw why he was a seventh-round draft pick.

For Denver, the window to be regular guests in the playoffs is now, especially with its defense.

So why do the Broncos insist on not making this crucial improvement to the offensive side of the ball?
