Tennessee Titans — Quarterback Marcus Mariota

Just like the Buccaneers, the Tennessee Titans may wind up being one of the surprise NFL teams this season.

And I’ve said this before — if quarterback Marcus Mariota played in a bigger market, he’d be one of the most well-known faces in football circles.

Still, Mariota needed help this offseason. One of the biggest needs the Titans faced was to get him a true No. 1 receiver. Up until the NFL Draft, Tennessee didn’t have one.

So it makes sense the Titans used the No. 5 overall pick in the draft to select the best receiver in this year’s class — former Western Michigan wideout Corey Davis.

Davis is an immediate upgrade over anything the Titans had coming into this offseason, and he should be a top-tier weapon for Mariota, who has already proven he can manage without one.

Mariota’s skill set, combined with this new piece on offense, makes him one of the more enticing players to watch in 2017.

We’ll see if this can get Tennessee into the playoffs.
