Jacksonville Jaguars — Running Back Leonard Fournette

Almost every time a team goes 3-13, it’s time to start thinking about making overall identity changes.

Such is the case with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017, and the selection of former LSU standout running back, Leonard Fournette, in Round 1 and No. 3 overall in the NFL Draft is an indication of this.

Jacksonville has spent considerable effort and money upgrading the defensive side of the ball and even adding weapons for scuffling quarterback Blake Bortles.

But Bortles has been anything but effective, and it’s cost this team a lot in terms of progressing.

Adding Fournette signifies a paradigm shift in the Jaguars’ plans. He’s now the new bell cow and best weapon on offense. And while the Jaguars may still hope Bortles finally turns the page, he’s going to wind up playing “second fiddle” to Fournette this season.

Fournette is going to receive plenty of attention this season, and he’s one of the few reasons Jacksonville remains relevant this upcoming year.
