Green Bay Packers — Quarterback Aaron Rodgers

As long as quarterback Aaron Rodgers is in the picture, the Green Bay Packers will be a playoff contender.

That’s been the case in all but one of the seasons (2008) since Rodgers took over starting duties.

There isn’t a lot to say here. Rodgers keeps the Packers more than just relevant. He’s the face of the franchise and among the elite of NFL quarterbacks. The only question will be if any of Packers’ rumored internal conflicts between Rodgers and head coach Mike McCarthy boil over.

It’s doubtful. Perhaps even silly to assume.

Rodgers may even enjoy a better season in 2017, thanks to the addition of free-agent tight end Martellus Bennett this offseason.

Bennett is a notable weapon, and pairing him with Rodgers should be downright scary.

Oh, and the Packers got better in the secondary this offseason too. That means Rodgers should be able to see more of the field with these defensive improvements.
