Running Back

Carlos Hyde is the starter of this team without question. At least that’s what we thought coming into the draft.

A few short weeks ago, John Lynch expressed his concern that Hyde may not be a fit for their style of offense. Too make matters worse, there is the issue that since taking over full-time duties, Hyde hasn’t exactly been tearing it up on the field. Not only has he dealt with injuries, but he’s failed to reach the thousand yard mark in both seasons.

Shanahan is known for selecting running backs in the later rounds and then plugging them on the depth chart successfully.

As a fan you can’t help but wonder if that’s the plan for this team moving forward. Hyde’s replacement is out there. If Shanahan finds him, and Hyde fails to out perform him then the man they call El Guapo could be on his way out.
