Round 6, Pick No. 186

Defensive Tackle. Clemson. Carlos Watkins. 186. player. 42.

The 49ers will look to bolster the defensive line, even though they have Arik Armstead and DeForest Bucker. In a big-boy division like the NFC West, it’s always a luxury to have good defensive line depth to be able to stop the run.

In comes Carlos Watkins from Clemson, a school that’s known for developing solid defensive lineman. Watkins could be the next great player to come out of the ACC powerhouse.

He’s a bit undersized, but has a high motor to be an inside pass rusher and solid run defender, according to Pro Football Focus.

Could be a solid Day 3 addition for the 49ers to beef up their defensive line.

Round 6, Pick No. 212

. Running Back. North Carolina. T.J. Logan. 212. player. 42

The fastest running back at the NFL Combine is one that’s rarely being mentioned: UNC’s T.J. Logan.

Yes, the 49ers just added Kareem Hunt in the fourth round, but Carlos Hyde and the rest of the running backs aren’t guaranteed to be back after this season, so it’s worth adding another back in this deep class.

The 49ers could get a dual-threat running back in Logan and really develop a backfield with him and Hunt.
