NFL Power Rankings: 2017 Pre-NFL Draft Look at All 32 Teams
By Peter Panacy
The Jay Cutler era in Chicago has officially ended, and the Bears are putting their faith in quarterback Mike Glennon to see the team through whatever faces them over the next few seasons.
But Glennon hasn’t started a game since 2014, so one can easily see how this acquisition could be a problem.
Chicago won’t have the services of wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, who departed the team via free agency this offseason. That’s one area of need in the NFL Draft, but the secondary is also a concern.
The Bears could go with a quarterback in Round 1, which would be a reach at No. 3 overall. Or they can try to land a standout defensive back like safety Jamal Adams or cornerback Marshon Lattimore.
In all likelihood though, 2017 is going to be a long, long year for Bears fans as the team looks to rebuild.
