2. team. 49. . 10-6. . Green Bay Packers

This selection in our NFL power rankings might be a bit of a reach. But it’s just too hard to find another team right now capable of knocking off the No. 1-slated squad on our list.

The Green Bay Packers are, perhaps, the closest to being a franchise capable of taking over the No. 1 spot right now.

Sure, there were a number of key free-agent losses this offseason. Departurees included offensive tackle T.J. Lang and cornerback Micah Hyde. But Green Bay’s depth along the offensive line is pretty good, and this year’s NFL Draft is deep at cornerback. So neither player’s departure should be a major warning.

Adding tight end Martellus Bennett via free ageny gives quarterback Aaron Rodgers yet one more dynamic weapon. As if Rodgers needed any more.

Green Bay could use a little bit of depth along its front seven, and a cornerback or two would be nice to have as well.

With those pieces, the Packers should be in prime position to represent the NFC in Super Bowl LII.
