NFL Power Rankings: 2017 Pre-NFL Draft Look at All 32 Teams
By Peter Panacy
If there was one area of concern to address with the Minnesota Vikings this offseason, it was their offensive line.
Putting things bluntly, it was terrible in 2016. One can only think what Minnesota’s record would have been had the team bolstered an above-average unit here.
Bringing in free-agent tackles Riley Reiff and Mike Remmers should help a good deal and keep quarterback Sam Bradford upright and injury free. Those additions alone help push the Vikings up a spot in our NFL power rankings.
Parting ways with running back Adrian Peterson was a smart move too. This year’s NFL Draft provides plenty of options on the ground, and the Vikings could chose one of many prospects to replace an aging, increasingly ineffective Peterson.
As far as the NFL Draft goes, the Vikings would be wise to find a solid guard to bolster the O-line. Another wide receiver to pair with Stefon Diggs would help, and depth along the defensive line could do some good too.
