Round 4 Pick 36 (No. 143 Overall) – WR Dede Westbrook (Oklahoma)

Make no mistake, if the 49ers get Oklahoma wideout Dede Westbrook with a compensatory pick at the bottom of the fourth round, then it is an absolute steal.

Westbrook’s off-the-field issues — he has twice been accused of domestic violionce — may give the 49ers pause.

But if they sign off on him then the Niners will be getting a player who is a pure home-run hitter who can win with his route-running as well as his deep speed, while showing the ball-tracking skills and athleticism to make some stunning catches.

Westbrook benfefited from playing against Big 12 to help pad his numbers — 1524 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2016 — but his all-round skill set is easily good enough for him to enjoy considerable success at the next level.
