Round 5, Pick No. 161 Overall — Brendan Langley, Lamar

A small-school standout, Lamar cornerback Brendan Langley was a terror for opposing quarterbacks, snagging six interceptions his senior year.

He initially signed with the Georgia Bulldogs out of high school, but a lack of playing time at corner forced him to transfer to Lamar.

Another dual-threat playmaker in the Adoree Jackson mold, Langley may have his best years ahead of him. He performed well at the Senior Bowl and, at the NFL Scouting Combine, posted a 4.43 40-yard dash and 22 reps on bench, which was the best out of the corners.

He is no longer a secret around the league, and the 49ers brass would be wise to take him here near the bottom of the fifth round. They can mold him to be a starting corner in a year or two, while he can add help on special teams in the return game right away.
