No. 16: Offensive Tackle Ryan Ramczyk, Wisconsin

Like Haason Reddick, there hasn’t been any buzz between the 49ers and Wisconsin offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk.

But that doesn’t mean San Francisco is hurting for offensive tackles.

Veteran left tackle Joe Staley will be turning 33 years old this season, and the Niners better think about replacing him sooner than later. Also, right tackle Trent Brown isn’t exactly a fit in head coach Kyle Shanahan’s outside-zone scheme. Heck, Brown’s run-blocking abilities aren’t particularly great either.

So an upgrade wouldn’t be a bad move here.

Ramczyk is at the top of a very weak offensive tackle class this season. That’s not to say he won’t be a good player at the NFL level. It just means his value could get inflated.

The only likely way the 49ers make this move would be if he falls into Round 2 and is simply too good an option to pass up.
