Kansas City Chiefs

Projected Cap Space: $9,592,207

Biggest Need: Defensive Tackle

The Kansas City Chiefs are going to be handicapped somewhat by their limited cap space. And it already showed, after locking up safety Eric Berry and letting defensive tackle Dontari Poe walk onto the free-agent market:

Finding interior defensive line depth shouldn’t be that hard or expensive. So that makes Kansas City’s free-agent moves here a bit easier. They can save other key areas of need — wide receiver and quarterback — for this year’s NFL Draft instead.

Poe is going to get a good deal of money on the open market.

Fellow defensive tackle Brandon Williams, from the Ravens last year, probably won’t. He’d be an ideal target.
