No. 2: Tully Banta-Cain — Outside Linebacker (2007)

There were high expectations for linebacker Tully Banta-Cain coming over from the New England Patriots.

He was envisioned as a pass-rush specialist by the front office after great production, with five sacks in only five games started the previous year with the Pats.

Unfortunately, the sacks came few and far between for him in two seasons with the 49ers, registering only four total over 10 games. He returned to the Patriots in 2010 but was out of the league by 2012.
