No. 5: Antonio Bryant — Wide Receiver (2006)

In 2006, wide receiver Antonio Bryant agreed to a four-year, $15 million deal with the 49ers that included a signing bonus in excess of $5 million.

Bryant was coming off a stellar season with the Cleveland Browns with 69 catches, over 1,000 yards and was highly coveted in the offseason.

He never replicated that production with the 49ers in his lone season with the team. Bryant had 40 receptions for 733 yards and only three touchdowns (Pro-football-reference).

In November of 2006, Bryant was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was later waived by the Niners as a result of the arrest after one season with the team.
