Fullback Kyle Juszczyk

The 49ers did not use a fullback under Chip Kelly in 2016 and, while it remains to be seen if Kyle Shanahan will feature one in his offense, the Ravens’ Kyle Juszczyk is certainly worth a look.

Juzczyk has been an integral part of the Ravens offense since 2014, flourishing as a receiver out of the backfield, much like former 49er Bruce Miller.

Having put up 321 receiving yards and four touchdowns in 2015, Juszczyk did not post a receiving score in 2016 and was limited to 266 yards on 37 receptions.

But he remained a safety net for Joe Flacco and was Pro Football Focus‘ top-ranked fullback this season.

Patrick Di Marco excelled in Shanahan’s system in Atlanta, Juszczyk could do the same and, at 25, could be a key contributor for years to come for the 49ers.
