Quarterback. Notre Dame. DeShone Kizer. 3. player. 57. The Bears will be in need of a quarterback with John Fox also facing the hot seat, so they reach a little bit and draft the local “golden-domer” with worlds of upside. The Bears need to end the Jay Cutler era and drafting DeShone Kizer will be the first step in doing so. It’s unlikely the Bears make good on wide receiver Alshon Jeffery’s prediction to win next year’s Super Bowl. But a core of Kizer, RB Jordan Howard and Jeffery will excite the fan base. Jeffery is a free agent and will need to be re-signed, but the Bears also have WR Kevin White who will be returning from injury. Kizer has all the measurables NFL scouts and coaches dream of, but he has lacked consistency in his game. Ultimately the upside is too hard to pass up.
