Quarterback. Clemson. Deshaun Watson. 2. player. 30. The New York Jets trade up to take their quarterback of the future in Deshaun Watson. The Jets have been desperate for a franchise QB for years now, and after watching the show Watson put on against a historically good Alabama team, they pull the trigger here. Watson has had his doubters over the course of the season, but his performance in the CFP should quiet those doubts. The lone QB remaining on the Jets roster is Christian Hackenberg, who the team is reportedly not high on. Head coach Todd Bowles could also find himself on the hot seat this coming year, so drafting Watson could help defuse those talks and excite the fan base.
