Ray-Ray Armstrong will make the team

So far in 2016, the 49ers best inside linebacker not named NaVorro Bowman has been Ray-Ray Armstrong.

He has a knack for finding the ball and when he makes his read, he reacts without hesitation. He has been tough to stop for opposing offenses.

Heading into training camp, Armstrong seemed to be at the bottom of the depth chart in most people’s minds. He has certainly changed that and has played his way onto the 53-man roster.

Armstrong’s aggressiveness and ability to find the ball carrier has been a welcomed sight since former 49ers linebacker Chris Borland.

A starting duo of Bowman and Armstrong will solidify the 49ers front seven. And if they are going to win any games in 2016, it will be due to the play of the defense.
