Wide Receiver

  1. Torrey Smith
  2. Quinton Patton
  3. Bruce Ellington

All three wide receivers were the starters in preseawson Week 1 against the Texans and, frankly, the play from the wide receiver position as a whole was poor.

The second- and third-team units didn’t do enough to impress or give any indication that they might move up the depth chart. The starters should remain the same from Week 1 because the 49ers need to find a way to get more out of them.
