Backup: Jaquiski Tartt

No changes.

Again, there isn’t too much to worry about with San Francisco’s safety situation. The only wonder is how the 49ers will use second-year pro Jaquiski Tartt. It’s likely the Niners want to put him into a hybrid-linebacker role in sub packages, similar to what is seen in the video below:

Here’s a fun prediction for you — Tartt winds up taking over the starting job before the end of the regular season.

Let’s hope it’s not for injury’s sake. Veteran Antoine Bethea already had his 2015 cut short by a pectoral injury.

Instead, don’t be surprised if the 49ers want to see more of what Tartt can do in a starting bid by season’s end.
