Center

V1.0 Assessment:

Starter: Daniel Kilgore

Backup: Marcus Martin

V2.0 Assessment:

No changes.

Center Daniel Kilgore returns to action, and the 49ers better hope he can stay healthy over the duration of an entire season.

The reason is backup center Marcus Martin finished 2015 with a whopping minus-45.6 overall grade, per Pro Football Focus. Despite being only 22 years old, Martin isn’t equipped to be anything more than a less-than-ideal backup at this stage in his career.

But he does have pro-level snapping experience, which keeps him as the primary backup option for now.
