Right Outside Linebacker
V1.0 Assessment:
Starter: Eli Harold
Backup: Ray-Ray Armstrong
V2.0 Assessment:
Starter: Eli Harold
Backup: Tank Carradine
Not much of a change here, and it’s directly related to Carradine’s brief showing during training camp thus far.
And, as noted previously, linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong may have the versatility to play on the outside but hasn’t exactly flashed enough prowess to secure a primary backup role either.
The key figure to watch here is second-year pro Eli Harold.
Adding some weight this offseason should make Harold a more-prolific pass-rusher. And he’ll have to be following the suspension handed out to linebacker Aaron Lynch, which gives Harold the nod to start in Week 1 of 2016.
