Wide Receiver Eric Rogers

2016 ESPN Fantasy Projection: N/A

Alright, another player who should fall out of your draft entirely. Hey, you wanted sleepers, right?

The 49ers picked up former CFL wide receiver Eric Rogers this offseason to bolster an incredibly young and inexperienced group. I remember reading how head coach Chip Kelly was one of the first to call Rogers for his services after the former took over in San Francisco.

This could mean Rogers winds up being one of Kelly’s favorites this season. And considering Rogers doesn’t exactly have a proven cast of receivers around him, he could actually wind up working all the way up to the No. 2 receiver position alongside Torrey Smith.

If the latter happens, and there’s a good possibility it does, Rogers might wind up being a nice little steal as a flex player in deeper leagues, bye-week coverage option or when the 49ers have a favorable matchup.

Keep an eye on how Rogers does in training camp and whether or not he climbs the ranks during the preseason.
