Wide Receiver Bryce Treggs

Another undrafted free-agent wide receiver, albeit one whom the Niners picked up in 2016, is former Cal standout Bryce Treggs.

Like fellow WR Dres Anderson, Treggs is a little undersized — 6-foot-0 and 185 pounds. But it’s impossible to overlook his contributions at Cal his senior season. Last year, Treggs posted a notable 45 receptions for 956 yards and seven touchdowns, amassing an impressive 21.2 yards per catch during that stretch.

And Treggs should fit seamlessly into what head coach Chip Kelly wants to do on offense. He’s that type of flexible receiver.

Fortunately for Treggs, he also doubles on special teams — a likely must for most UDFA players looking to find their way onto a squad.

Treggs’ chances for making the 53-man roster are much slimmer than Anderson’s. But Treggs is a candidate for the practice squad and, with the Niners wide receiver situation totally unsolved, anything is possible at this point.
