Offensive Line

Erik Pears

Ten-year veteran Erik Pears will have to use his experience and knowledge of the position if he wants to make the roster. The 49ers drafted three offensive lineman in the 2016 NFL Draft and, if Pears is not careful, he will lose his spot.

Brandon Thomas

Brandon Thomas must come out and show progression. If he can do that, he has a chance. Heading into his third pro year, Thomas has yet to play a snap in the regular season. If he can’t show that he is healthy and progressing in the system, then he will most likely miss the cut. Thomas has a very slim chance of making the roster.
