Cornerback

Marcus Cromartie

The 49ers drafted three new CBs in the 2016 NFL draft, and this doesn’t bode well for Marcus Cromartie. He has proven he can contribute on special teams and, if he makes this roster, it’s because of that.

Cromartie certainly will have an uphill climb. He will have to make the most of his opportunities in the preseason.

Keith Reaser

Cornerback Keith Reaser is a very intriguing player to follow this preseason. He has made the roster before and will look to continue that trend. However, with the new additions at CB in Rashard Robinson, Will Redmond and Prince Charles Iworah, Reaser will have some serious competition.

Reaser has not shown enough during season to be a for-sure guy on the 53-man roster and, if he struggles, can be easily passed up by someone else. With the position already crowded as it is, he can’t afford to struggle, or he is out.
