Running Back

All-Decade RB: Frank Gore

Again, another easy pick here.

There isn’t any doubt former 49ers running back Frank Gore should be the best ball-carrier San Francisco has had this decade. Heck, he probably should be the Niners’ all-time running back.

You know, since he’s the franchise rushing leader and all.

Gore made it to three consecutive Pro Bowls between 2011 and 2013, and he topped over 1,100 yards rushing in each of those seasons as well as 2014.

Even more importantly, Gore was the bell cow of San Francisco’s offense. And it shouldn’t be a surprise to see the 49ers’ recent glory days paralleling some of the veteran’s best years on the field.

San Francisco elected not to re-sign Gore after the 2014 season, and Gore went on to sign with the Indianapolis Colts for 2015.
