Will Redmond, CB, Mississippi State

Redmond is a fast corner who, despite his 5’11” 182 pound frame, tackles well and projects as a future starting nickle corner.

Redmond is also one of Baalke’s ACL selections.

After tearing his ACL last October, Redmond has just been focusing on getting back to football.

"“Well, it was just a one-on-one at practice, just a bad deal. I didn’t think anything. First thing I thought about was just I’ve got to get back right, because I know I love playing football and I love doing it every day.”"

It’s exciting for the 49ers, and their fans, that he’s been recovering since October, and that he could potentially make an impact this year. At the very least, he’ll be mid-season depth for incumbent nickle corner Jimmie Ward.

Overall Grade: B+ or (8/10)
