Predicting 49ers Starting Lineup After 2016 NFL Draft

Safety

  2. Antoine Bethea
  3. Jimmie Ward 
  4. L.J. McCray (Special Teams)

The duo of Reid and Bethea are back. Bethea is coming back from injury in 2015 and will step right back into where he left off. As stated in the previous slide, Baalke has mentioned Ward making the transition to safety.

If he does, he will rotate in with Bethea and should ultimately take over that spot, moving Bethea to backup duty.

McCray will see very little snaps at safety. He will make the roster as a special teams ace, and a very good one at that.
